Chevrolet revealed their all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado last week, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with what we saw.  From the powerful new design to the new family of available EcoTec3 engines, we’re impressed.

The body of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado has been completely redesigned, yet still features some of the undeniable aesthetics of a classic Silverado.  Distinct styling like the taller dual-power dome hood and the stacked headlamps give the new truck a bold and dominant look.  The redesign isn’t just for appearance’s sake, though, as it ultimately gave way for new cargo-friendly features like the new 6’6” pickup box.

Fuel economy and performance tend to be the deal-making details when it comes to any engine under the hood of a pickup.  Featuring innovative optimization technology, the new EcoTec3 family of engines delivers the torque to satisfy your hauling and working needs as well as fuel economy unmatched by competitors.  The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado will be available with a 4.3L V6 engine, a 5.3L V8 or a 6.2L V8.

Paws and Claws and Clements Chevrolet Cadillac

To help make the holiday season a little brighter for our four-legged friends, Clements Chevrolet Cadillac has teamed up with our local animal shelter Paws and Claws for a charity event.

Clements is collecting both new and used gifts for dogs and cats staying at Paws and Claws. Paws and Claws is dedicated to rescuing homeless and unwanted animals. They would greatly appreciate the following items: bones/rawhide, blankets, animal beds, towels, dog sweaters, metal dog crates, sturdy toys, and cat toys.

That’s right! The award will be officially presented at Cadillac’s press conference on the second day of the Los Angeles Auto Show press days on November 29, 2012.

Cadillac CUE Rear-Seat Entertainment

If you drive a Cadillac SRX and have kids, this next piece of information may interest you.

2012 Cadillac SRX

For the new 2013 Cadillac SRX, the Cadillac CUE (Cadillac User Experience) rear-seat entertainment system will be an available $1595 option for SRX models with navigation. It will add two eight-inch flip-up screens mounted in the backs of the front seats. Each screen will have its own controls and input options, so the kids don’t have to fight over what to watch.

Also included are a Blu-Ray player and a pair of wireless headphones. Additionally, there is a remote control designed like a video game controller instead of a TV remote. BMW found that kids find a video game controller easier to use without their parents than a TV-style remote.

2013 Cadillac ATS: Car of the Year

Esquire magazine recently released its pick for their 2012 Car of the Year. They chose the 2013 Cadillac ATS.

What makes this Cadillac so desirable? Perhaps it is the sport sedan image or the impeccable handling. According to Esquire, “Humanity is the last true automotive bellwether, and how the Cadillac trounced this year’s other debuts.” They also boast that the ATS is “perhaps the single most important thing Detroit has built in years.”

GM definitely considered the Cadillac ATS important as it was one of the few programs that was not suspended during their bankruptcy, and their dedication appears to have paid off. Esquire isn’t the only one noticing the ATS. The internet is brimming with excitement and rave reviews for this brand new Cadillac.

2013 Cadillac ATS Engines and Fuel Economy Announced

Details have been released on the all-new 2013 Cadillac ATS Sedan. The base model will come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and will earn 22 miles per gallon city and 33 miles per gallon highway. This engine will also produce 202 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. These numbers are comparable to the competitors in the 2013 ATS’s class.

Also available on the 2013 Cadillac ATS is a 270-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that will earn 22 miles per gallon city and 32 miles per gallon highway. Cadillac will offer a 3.6-liter V6 engine that will produce 321 horsepower and earn 19 miles per gallon city and 28 miles per gallon highway.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS is a brand new luxury car that will start at $33,990. The 2013 ATS comes with a high-performance suspension system that provides a dynamic and unique ride for a luxury sedan. Look for the 2013 Cadillac ATS to start hitting dealerships later this year.

New Cadillac ELR to Debut in 2014

General Motors has confirmed that Cadillac will produce a new electric model, and it is scheduled to hit the EV market in 2014. The Cadillac ELR will be an extended-range plug-in hybrid coupe and will use a powertrain similar to that of the Chevrolet Volt. Using this powertrain, the ELR is expected to have an expected all-electric range of 35 miles or more.

Cadillac has not released very much information regarding the new ELR. There has been some speculation that the price of the ELR could be around $57,000, similar to Tesla’s base model S.

Subaru, Cadillac Vehicles Named Best Cars for Families

Three Subaru and Cadillac vehicles have been named to U.S. News’s list of best cars for families. The Subaru Impreza, Subaru Outback, and Cadillac Escalade were all named to the list, which comes out annually.

The Subaru Impreza is an affordable small car that has excellent handling and earns great fuel economy with standard all-wheel drive. The spacious seats and plentiful cargo space make the 2012 Impreza a solid choice for a family on the move.

The Subaru Outback is an affordable wagon that rides like a car but has the utility of an SUV. The 2012 Outback has a spacious interior, excellent visibility, and great handling with standard all-wheel drive. The 2012 Outback also earns high marks in overall safety ratings.

The 2012 Cadillac Escalade continues to stand out in the Luxury Large SUV class. The Escalade comes with a luxurious interior, a powerful SUV, and bold styling.
