The Subaru Impreza was awarded 2012 MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Compact Car at the Chicago Auto Show. This comes as another positive for Subaru, who set a new sales record in 2011.
Redesigned for 2012, the Impreza comes with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. It comes with a 2.0-liter Boxer engine that produces 148 horsepower, yet the Impreza still achieves 27 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, the highest of any all-wheel drive car.
The 2012 Subaru Impreza also has great handling, spacious seating and plenty of cargo space. The Impreza comes with the option of a five-speed manual transmission or an enhanced, second-generation Lineartronic continuously variable transmission.
