Coming Spring 2013: 2014 Chevy Impala

The all-new redesigned 2014 Chevy Impala will be released sometime in the spring of 2013. One of the most popular and iconic nameplates of the Chevrolet brand, the Impala will be debuting its 10th generation model.

The 2014 Chevy Impala will see an improved design, a spacious and upscale interior, and dynamic performance. The 2014 Impala will also come with the Chevrolet MyLink in-car infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-inch color touch-screen.

Chevrolet SS Confirmed

For the first time in nearly 20 years, Chevrolet will offer a rear-wheel drive, V8 performance sedan in the form of the Chevrolet SS. The SS will also become the official racecar for Chevrolet in NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing Series.

Chevrolet is reprising the performance SS for the first time since 1996. The newest SS is scheduled to debut as a 2014 model and will arrive at dealerships in late 2013. Not many more details have been released about the latest SS, but this news is sure to excite hardcore Chevrolet fans.

Bands Cruze to Billboard’s Battle of the Bands

Six bands have made it to the finals in Chevrolet’s Battle of the Bands competition for the Billboard Music Awards. Each band received keys to a brand new 2012 Chevrolet Cruze to use to travel to Las Vegas to compete in the battle of the bands finals. Once the bands “Cruze” into Vegas, they will compete for the opportunity to perform live at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday May 20.

The Chevy Cruze is the Chevrolet’s top-selling passenger car world-wide and has been named Best Compact Car for the Money by U.S. News and World Report. The Cruze ECO can gain up to 42 miles per gallon on the highway. The Cruze is nicely equipped, has plenty of interior space, and comes at a much cheaper price than other vehicles in its class.

The six bands that have made it to the finals are from all across the United States. The bands include: Savannah Outen, Saints of Valory, Take the Day, Patent Pending, Doe Eye, and After the Smoke.

Chevy Camaro ZL1: Newest Member of 11-Second Club

Chevy’s all-new Camaro ZL1 is now a member of the 11-second club on the drag-racing quarter mile. A team from Chevy tested an automatic and manual ZL1 and both had runs that were sub-12 seconds for a quarter mile.

The automatic turned in a time of 11.93 seconds, reaching a top speed of 116 miles per hour, while the manual ZL1 took 11.96 seconds. Using street-legal parts, the Chevy Camaro ZL1 can go from 0-60 M.P.H. in about 4 seconds.

New Cadillac ELR to Debut in 2014

General Motors has confirmed that Cadillac will produce a new electric model, and it is scheduled to hit the EV market in 2014. The Cadillac ELR will be an extended-range plug-in hybrid coupe and will use a powertrain similar to that of the Chevrolet Volt. Using this powertrain, the ELR is expected to have an expected all-electric range of 35 miles or more.

Cadillac has not released very much information regarding the new ELR. There has been some speculation that the price of the ELR could be around $57,000, similar to Tesla’s base model S.
