You want your vehicle to last, right? Of course you do, especially if that vehicle is a pickup truck that you need to do your job. Chevrolet hears you loud and clear, so the Detroit automaker puts its Silverado through the most rigorous durability testing imaginable.
From the sub-zero cold of Kapuskasing, Ontario to the blazing desert heat in Yuma, Arizona the Chevy Silverado has been through it all. Throw in the extensive torture tests at the GM Milford Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan, and the Chevy Silverado has withstood more than 12.5 million miles of durability testing to ensure it works when you need it to.
“It takes refinement and testing to build the strength that our customers expect and rely on from their trucks,” said Phillip Hubler, vehicle system engineer, in a press release. “Our philosophy with the 2014 trucks was to improve what needed to be improved and leave alone what was already considered world class.”
