The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will be released in the spring of 2012 all around the world. This will be Chevrolet’s first global sedan, but the US version of the 2013 Malibu will offer a unique turbocharged, 4-cylinder Eco engine.

The Eco engine will also come with a battery pack and a motor that will help to boost fuel mileage. Chevrolet will replace the V6 option in the 2013 Malibu with this new Eco engine. There will also be some structural changes to the 2013 version of the Malibu. Along with being made slightly smaller, the 2013 Malibu will be built with the most aerodynamic properties in mind.

All of these factors will allow the 2013 Malibu to achieve an estimated 25 miles per gallon in the city and 37 miles per gallon on the highway, which is unparalleled for a midsized sedan.

Chevrolet has made a concerted effort to improve fuel economy with many of its newer vehicles. The Cruze, Sonic and Spark are all new Chevrolet vehicles that offer dramatically improved fuel efficiency compared to older models.
